Always fantastic food. We love the chicken malabar. Great place to get take out in the area. Portions are large and price is good. Friendly service. Highly recommend!
While looking for a new go-to Indian restaurant, I came across Tandoor of India in Fairport, New York. First, it is hard to find. The Google Maps pin wasn't useful until I realized the restaurant is inside and indoor atrium in the mall. Having never been there before, all the stores appear to have their fronts facing the parking lot. I drove around back. Just go to the middle of the shopping plaza and walk into the glass atrium; the restaurant is inside. Second, the place was empty. And I mean empty. my table was the only occupied table in the entire restaurant. If my previous favorite Indian restaurant hadn't been the same way, I probably would have turned around and left out of worry that everyone knew something I didn't. So, keep looking for the place and don't worry if you're the only person in the restaurant, because the food is quite good, and there is plenty to go around. The goat korma and chana masala were very good, but the standout was a paneer dish that was very different from those I had in the past. Made with less spinach and a yellow cream sauce, this paneer dish was a standout favorite. Now that I know where Tandoor of India is, I will definitely make a return trip.

This was my first time having Indian food. I was scared to try it, but my boyfriend convinced me this is a great place to go. Of course, he was right. The food was amazing and the staff was attentive and friendly. I recommend the Chicken Muglai!
I have only been to the lunch and dinner buffet, the food is delicious, very flavorful and there is a large variety. Something for everyone.
